Setup guide
Two PCs, one LAN, about five minutes.
1 · Run the installer on both PCs
Use your personal download link (from your acceptance email or your account page) to grab RelayLink Setup. Run it on each PC — it asks which machine it's on and installs the agent (gaming PC), the server (streaming PC), or both. No administrator needed; Start Menu shortcuts included.
2 · Server on the streaming PC
Run relaylink-server.exe on the PC that captures/encodes your stream. First launch opens Settings — pick your capture card under Video and your record folder under Recording.
3 · Agent on the gaming PC
Run relaylink-agent.exe on the PC you play on. Add sources in Settings: whole output devices, individual apps (game, Discord, Spotify), or your microphone. Each becomes its own track.
4 · Let them find each other
Leave the server field on "auto". The agent discovers the server on your LAN via mDNS and remembers the address afterwards, so launch order never matters. If Windows asks about firewall access on first run, allow it on private networks — that's the discovery + audio traffic.
5 · Mix on the server, control from either side
Every agent track appears in the server's mixer with live meters, gain, and mute. REC and GO LIVE work from both apps. Recordings are multi-track MKV; streaming goes to Twitch and Kick (link accounts in Settings → Streaming).
6 · Stay updated
Both apps check relaylink.stream for updates on launch and every few hours, download in the background, and install on restart. Update both PCs together — mismatched versions refuse to talk to each other on purpose.
Troubleshooting
The agent says "Searching for a RelayLink server" forever.
Both PCs must be on the same network/subnet. Check that the server app is actually running, then check Windows Firewall on both machines (allow the apps on private networks). As a fallback, type the streaming PC's IP into the agent's server field instead of "auto".
My game audio and Discord are one blob.
Add the game and Discord as separate app sources on the agent instead of capturing the whole output device — then each gets its own track, meter, and mute.
Recording works but the stream button says NO DESTINATIONS.
Open server Settings → Streaming and either link your Twitch/Kick account or paste an RTMP URL + stream key, then enable the destination.
Where are my recordings?
In the record folder shown in server Settings → Recording (the status line under REC shows the active file name while recording).
